About Chute’s Family Restaurant — Rooted in Community, Run by Family
Chute’s Family Restaurant was founded in 1978, an outgrowth of the original Chute’s in Casco. The local Chute family of Edward and Gloria were involved at the start but over the years went off to other
careers. In 1983 Bruce and Maila Chute Stevens moved back to Maine and after jumping in to help out, bought the Windham location in 1983.
Following the family example, the 4 Stevens kids grew up filling various positions and presently some local grands work weekends… It’s a true family restaurant!
